These used pistons that were not common to give issues, so you more than likely will not have this rod but this rod WILL WORK in ANY 4.0 from 1987-2006 In any model Jeep with zero issues. \u003c\/h4\u003e\n\u003ch4\u003e - 691 Casting Rods seemed to be used in 1996-1999\/2001 Jeep 4.0s before they changed to the new AB block. These are basically the same as the 544s, just a different year of a casting number of a connecting rod. These WILL WORK in ANY 4.0 from 1987-2006 In any model Jeep with zero issues which rod you had before. \u003c\/h4\u003e\n\u003ch4\u003e\n\u003cspan style=\"color: #000000;\"\u003e - 548\u003c\/span\u003e Casting Rod Is when Jeep swapped to the 1999\/2000-2006 \"AB\" Block or the Newer Coil Pack style Head, Including the 2000 \u0026amp; 2001 Jeep Cherokee XJ with the Coil Pack Head.
