 -NOT FOR JEEP CHEROKEE XJ-

This is the "Engine & Transmission Wiring Harness" for a 1999 ONLY Jeep GRAND Cherokee WJ 4.0 Inline Six Cylinder This has the two main plugs into the PCM and goes to basically ALL the sensors on the engine. Also has the big main black plug around the transmission dipstick area that connects into the main body harness (SOON- click below for it) Make SURE you know what you are purchasing, Look pictures carefully!

 - On 1999,2000,& 2001 Models, The wiring harness from both 2wd & 4wd ARE the same harness. They have an optional extension harness to plug into the main harness to go to the T-case shifter switch. I will sell the small extension harness separate (CLICK HERE FOR IT) this way I can just sell a wiring harness as is and not have to keep up with 2wd and 4wd harness each.

- The ONLY difference between a 2wd & 4wd harness on 2002-2004 is the the plug for the shift indicator for which 4wd selection the transfer case is in. They will interchange perfectly with no difference that affect running of the Jeep. So if you are needing a harness for either option, don't let a shift light hold you back from getting your Jeep running.   Most of what I get in are 2wd models!

 - These are pulled from a 1999 Jeep GRAND Cherokee with the 4.0 inline Six Cylinder Engines. They are typically pulled from wrecks or mechanically failed vehicles, so they should be in good useable conditions.

 - These are 20+ Year old USED Parts. I will not sell one if I am not confident that it is a completely usable part. If they have a broken or damaged plug I will include the needed parts to make sure you get what you are needing.

- This is NOT the "Fuse Box Under Hood Harness"  CLICK HERE - SOON

- If you are concerned with this being the right or wrong harness for your jeep email me at dexjeeps@gmail.com or CLICK HERE to contact me. I DO NOT do refunds on wiring harnesses unless its an issue I feel I missed or feel like I sold you the wrong part.

-A person may miss diagnose an issue as a bad harness and want to buy one to try to fix their issue, then return it if it didn't fix a problem they were dealing with causing me trouble and taking up time I don't have!!

 - These come off wrecks or bad engines, so the vehicle was either driving when it wrecked or the jeep was running when the engine blew up. I check these very carefully!!

 - 1999 Years Only - These have the horizontal plug in for the coil pack instead of the 2000-2004 which have a vertical plug on the coil pack. 1999 transmission main plug is wired the same as 1993-1999 years where as 2000-2004 have a different pin out for overdrive.  I THINK 1999s only ever used upper and lower 02 Sensor with round style plugs, so no Pre-Cats were used (I will change if I run across any)  1999s used the 3 pin oil pressure sensor, 96-01 style TPS sensors.  Chrysler Part Number - 56042201

 - 2000-2001 Year models at the time of making this listing, I can't think of a difference in these harness but they do have different part number, so I can't say they are the same harness, but they had the "california" or "standard" emission models. Standard have no Pre-Cats and one upstream and one downstream 02 sensor with round style plugs along with just one large catalytic converter behind the crossmember. These will have the plug on the coil pack up and down, vertical. These have the 00-04 Pin out for the Transmissions. 2000-2001 used the 3 pin oil pressure sensor, 96-01 style TPS sensors.  - CLICK HERE FOR 2000 Chrysler Part Number - 56044400 or Here For 2001 - Chrysler Part Number 56044769

- 2002 is a standalone year for a harness. These should all have the Pre Cats with the Four 02 sensors with the start year of the square wire connection plugs. These do not have 02 sensors close to the muffler area. These started with the newer TPS style plugs. They are still using the older 3 pin oil pressure sensor switch. CLICK HERE FOR 2002 - Chrysler Part Number 56041989

- 2002-2003 - The ONLY difference that I am aware of between these years is 2002 uses the three pin/ three wire oil pressure sensor where as the 2003 uses the one wire oil pressure sensor. If you are in a need for either, you could run either one and simply not have an oil pressure reading or install a manual gauge. My dads daily driver has an 02 harness on an 03 Jeep and just doesn't read oil pressure.

- 2003 is a standalone year harness. These should all have the Pre Cats with the Four 02 sensors. These do not have 02 sensors close to the muffler area. These use the newer square style wire connector plugs. These are basically the same as 2002s harness, they swapped to the single wire oil pressure sensors.  - CLICK HERE FOR 2003 - Chrysler Part Number 56044369 - 2WD & 5604470 4wd

 - 2004 is a completely standoff year with only 2004 working for this year. The actual only difference from a 2003 is a 2004 model swapped to a new style MAP sensor. This COULD be re wired to either plug style you need but they are technically different harnesses. Some, but not all 2004s have the new updated style injector plug, but this is the same plug, just a different disconnect lever and lock. 1999-2004.5 older connectors were bad with the locks breaking. These use the new style Square Connector for the 02 Sensors. -CLICK HERE FOR 2004 - Chrysler Part Number 56050469 2WD & 5605047 4WD

 - All the information above should tell you the differences in the harnesses. I will try to list below what plugs never changed. I hope I don't miss any but this information comes from my brain so I could make a mistake.
