- This listing is for both Genuine OEM Crank Position Sensors from 1993-2004 Jeep Grand Cherokees' Along with Jeep Wranglers. These use one bolt to attach, whereas Jeep Cherokee XJs use two bolts to attach them to the bell housing. ALL of the sensors I sell are plugged up to my engine test stand and tested that they will start & properly run an engine. I can not properly "heat soak" test these, that is just part of buying used parts. I would say 95% come off wrecks or bad engine vehicle which means the sensors " should " have been working correctly.
- Know that when you purchase one of these, they DO RUN a Jeep, so if you was diagnosing a Jeep, I would trust ANY of these over cheap products now days. MOPAR is no longer an actual "brand" The ones you see sold as "Mopar" are cheap China knock offs just using the Mopar Branding! Plenty of videos online showing the quality differences of various products.
- Factory OEM (highest price) are what come on the Jeep from the factory when it was new. Yes these are old but are the best quality you can buy by a long shot.
- The questionable OEM ones are (second priced ones) Look and feel like OEM but they do not have part numbers on them, So I can't promise they are actually OEM quality. I do see quite a bit of these sensors, so I feel like they must be good products.
- Dark Grey Sensors, these seem to be a very good aftermarket option, I would assume these were made pre-covid when stuff made actually cared about a good quality product. I actually pull off more of these than both OEM & OEM look alikes, and again if these are on driving vehicle, I would assume they are working great!
- Light Grey Sensors appears to be another aftermarket option. I am not sure on the brand of these but they do come off Jeeps that were driving daily, So I would assume they would work for you as well.
