-- These are FACTORY Jeep 4.0 Inline Distributors ALL years, So Be sure you know which year model you need for your application. I try to make sure these are factory, not aftermarket ones.
- 1995 - 1999 Distributors have a replaceable cam sensor I call the Plate Style (pick up coil) . The Sensor is NOT Included - CLICK HERE FOR IT - SOON - These models will get slack in the top portion, I have never seen this actually cause a running issue at all. While it is running with pressure from the cam gear and oil pump it will hold it in place so the slack is not a major issue, just feels bad!
- 1991-1994 models WILL run off the 1995-1999 but they are different styles but should NOT be interchanged. The angle of the cam sync is a few degrees off, so it will start but the timing of the engine will be off. These models have the built in cam sensor inside the distributor.
- 1987-1990 is for the Renix Era of 4.0s. These also have the cam sensor built into the distributor. They often have an extra wire that is not used - White I believe!
