This is a listing for the Main Caps used on 1987-2006 Jeep 4.0 Inline six cylinder engine. They did have a few different styles of these over the years, so know which ones you would need for your application.

- The Newest caps 1999/2000-2006 use studs & main girdle and also has no Lip on the rear main seal. They use a form of sealeant from on the mating surface of the cap to the block between the rear main seal and the oil pan gasket. These would interchange with the earlier 1996-2000 Caps and earlier blocks with the studs these use instead of bolts.
- These were used on 1996-1999/2000/2001 Jeep 4.0 engines. They have the Lip on the rear main seal that contacts the oil pan gasket. these
- Know that these are not supposed to be a direct bolt on, you should need lined bored for proper set up.
