These are the Factory OEM Manifold Air Pressure Sensor - MAP Sensor, this sensor reads the amount of vacuum inside of the air intake manifold. Some models mounts to the firewall, while some mounts on the side of throttle body with THESE BOLTS. If you need the wiring harness plug ends CLICK HERE.
- I was going to offer a "Tested Version" of these using my engine stand. These being OEM quality parts that rarely go bad, I seen no reason to offer that service. If you do think you purchased a bad one get with me and we can work it out.
- These sensors are VERY universal, but they do have a couple variations.
-1996-2003 Jeep/Dodge/Chrysler Used these on 4.0 I6 & 2.5 I4 Engines. These mount directly on the throttle body using the newer style wiring connectors - Also -1997-1998 Jeep-5.2 & 5.9 V8s Used this style & 1997-2003 Dodge/Chrysler 3.9 V6s & 5.2-5.9 V8s - Chrysler Part # 56029405 Need The Bolts? - 1987-1995 Jeep Cherokee XJ 4.0 I6 & 2.5 I4 Engines. These mount to the firewall with a small bracket. -This is actually a GM sensor.
- 1993-1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.0 I6 Used this style sensor that mounts under the firewall. -This is actually a GM sensor.
-1993-1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.2 V8s used this old style connector that bolts directly to the throttle body. This would also be used on Dodge V6 & V8 Products 1995 & older - Chrysler Part # 56026770 & 56028303 Need The Bolts? CLICK HERE
-2004-2006 Jeep 4.0 I6 used this smaller cheaper version that just uses one bolt to bolt to the throttle body. May fit other engines? Chrysler Part # 5604454
-1999-2001 - Jeep/Dodge 3.7 - 4.7 -5.7? V6s & V8s These use TWO BOLTS to attach to the plastic intake manifold. Chrysler Part # 56041018 Need The Bolts? CLICK HERE
-2002-20?? Not Sure How New these are used. Jeep/Dodge 3.7 - 4.7 -5.7? V6s & V8s These use one self tapping screw to attach to the plastic intake manifold.
- If the O-Ring is missing or bad you could use gasket maker to seal the mating surface onto the throttle body.
