This is the Linkage The Connects from the Floor Shifter to the Transfer Case on the 1987-2001 Jeep Cherokee XJ 4.0. I do believe these are the same length on the AW4 Automatic Transmission along with the AX15 Manual Transmission. Both 231 & 242 Transfer Cases should also use the same shifter linkages as well.
